Titanium plate X-Porous TTA series 7

The plates for X-Porous TTA are made of titanium and offer nine sizes available, divided into three groups according to their size: series 4, series 7 and series 8. Usually, series 4 plates are used for small dogs, those series 7 for medium-large dogs and those of series 8 for large-giant dogs. In addition to the size, it is important that the surgeon also checks that the the plate fit to the shape of the tibia.

The plate is curved to allow for better adaptation to the tibial crest. Depending on the model, there are two or three holes in the proximal part for inserting screws into the tibial crest, while in the distal part there are one or two holes for inserting the screw into the tibial metaphysis. Tibial crest screws can be locked or non-locked, depending on the surgeon’s preference and the conditions of the specific procedure. The tibial screw is always cortical to allow the hinge function exerted by the plate during loading.

The new 7SL plate will fit with the new technical suggestion to better protect the tibial crest. It allows the surgeon to decide the optimal position for the tibial screw, avoiding potentially dangerous locations.
