Perforated screw for K wires
Perforated screw allows to lock the tensioned K wires to rings.
We present our Perforated Screws for K wire, an essential tool in the circular external fixation technique to ensure safe and precise tension of the transosseous wires.
Main features
Circular External Fixation: Our perforated screws are designed for use in the circular external fixation technique, allowing reliable tightening of K wires tensioned over the rings. This technique is widely recognized for its effectiveness in veterinary orthopedic surgery.
Reduced bulk: The perforated screws offer very small bulk, causing less radiographic interference both intraoperatively and during postoperative radiographic checks. Furthermore, their low weight does not cause a significant increase in the weight of the fixator.
Stainless Steel Material: The drilled screws are made of high quality stainless steel, ensuring corrosion resistance and durability.
Two Lengths Available: We offer two different lengths: 13.5mm and 21.5mm. The former is indicated for use with the mini-series fixators, while the latter is for use with the midi and maxi-series fixators. These lengths allow to select the most suitable screw for each procedure.
M5 thread: The screws are equipped with an M5 thread, which is the standard of the Universal system, and allows the use of the corresponding keys for most components.
Why Choose our Drilled Screws for K-wires
In veterinary orthopedic surgery, precision and effectiveness are essential. Our perforated screws are designed to offer a reliable element in the circular external fixation technique, ensuring secure tension of the threads on the rings with a small footprint.
