Double-purchase post

Dual function component. It can be used as a post which holds K-wires or threaded pins outside the plane of the ring to which it is connected, thus increasing the lever arm of the purchase in the bone. Alternatively, it can be used as a wire/pin clamp with circular components and rails. It tightens K-wires from 1 mm diameter and pins up to 4 mm diameter. It can perform both functions simultaneously and is particularly useful in those cases where two bone purchase points are required using a single space on the ring so as to reduce the overall dimensions. Made of aluminum alloy.
